Keith Harkin
Keith Harkin Reviews
Keith Harkin is sure to be a Grammy winner for this debut CD. In an eclectic mix of styles, Keith's Irish roots and unique musical vision shines through this collection of covers and original songs. You think only George Harrison could do justice to Here Comes The Sun? Think again! Keith's version is both mystical and joyous. And Don Henley's End of the Innocence? After you hear Keith's rendition, Irish-flavored by Barry Kerr's Uillean pipes and whistles, you'll say "Don Who?" His duet with Colbie Caillat, Have I Told You Lately That I Love You is sweet, simple, and emotional. Keith Harkin is, more than anything, a gifted songwriter. Poetry set to music, every song is a jewel. The two best songs on the album, Orange Moon and Rosa, beautifully showcase his skill as a lyricist and composer. In Orange Moon an upbeat, catchy tune masks conflicted yearning for lost love complicated by the pull of the road. Rosa is a tender love song, so poignant that the first notes bring me to tears at every listening. With every word he writes, Keith shares his heart and soul. For those of us who have followed him since the Celtic Thunder juggernaut introduced him 4 ½ years ago, Keith's debut album has been a long time coming. But, man, is it worth the wait!. this is my Keith Harkin reviewsKeith Harkin Specs
